Summer Camps

Discover new worlds at Lifeline Theatre’s Drama Camps! Children explore their imaginations and hone their natural performing abilities while gaining sound theatre training in a fun-filled atmosphere. Our camps not only teach kids how to embody characters and act out stories, they also help them to gain confidence, express themselves, and work patiently and respectfully with each other.

WAVE RIDERS Summer Camp (Ages 3-5)

For our JELLYFISH Campers:

Half Day: 9:00am- 12:00 pm, Mon-Fri. | $250 per camper

Our half-day Jellyfish camp will focus on the three tools of the actor – body, voice and imagination!
Campers will use the children’s book, Lottie and Walter by Anna Walker as a touchstone for
exploration through lots of fun theatre games! All Jellyfish campers will take part in a final sharing of
story and games on their last day of camp.

Session: June 24 – June 28 (exploring and performing Lottie and Walter by Anna Walker)


WAVE RIDERS Summer Camp (Ages 6-8)

For our STARFISH Campers: 
Full Day: 9:00am- 3:00 pm, Mon-Fri. | $450 for one week.

Starfish campers will enjoy lots of fun drama games, building an ensemble that will collectively adapt
their own scenes based on a Children’s book. Starfish campers will join the Dolphin Campers in a final
sharing on their last day of camp.

Session 1: July 15 – July 19 (exploring and performing in Off & Away by Cale Atkinson)

Session 2: July 29 – August 2 (exploring and performing in Shwashby and the Sea by Beth Ferry)


WAVE RIDERS Summer Camp (Ages 8-10)

For our DOLPHIN Campers:
Full Day: 9:00am- 3:00 pm, Mon-Fri. | $800 for two weeks.

The Ocean is a vast and mysterious place that can sometimes be frightening, but can also lead to brave
choices and new friendships. Explore the Ocean and shoreline with our protagonists as they set out to
discover more about the world and themselves! Each Dolphin camp session will explore a different ocean themed children’s book and the campers will create their own silly and fantastical adaptation to perform! The two-week sessions culminate in a final performance on the last Friday of camp.

Session 1: July 8 – July 19 (exploring and performing in Off & Away by Cale Atkinson)

Session 2: July 22 -August 2 (exploring and performing in Shwashby and the Sea by Beth Ferry)

Lifeline Theatre ACTING Intensive (Age 10-13)

For our STINGRAY Campers:
Full Day: July 8- July 12
9:00am – 3:00pm, Mon-Fri | $450 per child

This week long ACTING intensive gives campers a deeper look into some of the fascinating aspects of performing onstage. Each day will feature a different theatre professional who will provide a window into their specialty and a hands-on experience of performance; including improvisation, stage combat, puppetry, and scene work. The week culminates in an interactive sharing for parents and friends on Friday, July 12th.


Lifeline Theatre DESIGN Intensive (Ages 10-13)

For our STINGRAY Campers:
Full Day: July 22 – July 26
9:00am – 3:00pm, Mon-Fri | $450 per child

This week long theatre DESIGN intensive will allow campers to explore several different facets of theatre-making. Each day will feature a different theatre design professional who will provide a window into their specialty and a hands-on experience of creation, including lighting design, costume design, puppet building, and set design. The week culminates in an interactive sharing for parents and friends on Friday, July 26th.
