Raymond R. Snyder Commitment To The Arts Award

Join us in honoring Allison Cain, Lifeline’s former long-time Managing Director, for her immeasurable impact on, not only Lifeline but, the entire Chicago Theatre Community.

The Raymond R. Snyder Commitment to the Arts Award was created in 2001 to recognize our first and long- time board president Raymond R Snyder as a primary force in building and fostering Lifeline Theatre.  We have since given this award to other exemplary community members.

Indulge In an Auction Of Treasures and Experiences:

The Lifeline Insider Package: It’s an exclusive look at the creation of a Lifeline production, from first draft to opening night! Start with a private gathering (for you and a guest) over cocktails at Rogers Park Social with the Artistic Director Ilesa Duncan, and members of the Lifeline ensemble. Learn about our development process and the titles currently in our pipeline. Next, join the ensemble at the private draft reading of the project of your choice—meet the creators, learn about the vision, hear the work, and join in the discussion of helping to shape the direction of one of our world-premiere adaptations. During rehearsals, attend an evening of your choice to see the work in progress. Always wanted to see how fights are staged? Or how lights and sounds are incorporated into a show? Here’s the perfect chance! Finally, attend the opening night performance and join our Artistic Director and the lead artists for drinks beforehand to discuss the experience from beginning to end.

Bibliomaniac’s Delight: In the spirit of sharing stories that move us beyond the margins of our own lives, this package helps you build your library with a specially curated collection of books personally selected by Lifeline Ensemble, Board, Staff, and supporters. Each book includes a personal message of its importance to the Lifeline member who chose it. Style your library with treasures from Andy’s Art Antiques & Oddities. Prepare to browse for even more books for your collection as the winner of this package will enjoy 1 free cup of coffee a week and 1 free glass of wine a month for an entire year at The Book Cellar!

My Kind of Town: Get ready to explore the ‘one town that won’t let you down’! Take in the beauty of the Windy City by foot and by boat with tours of Rogers Park and the Chicago River. Learn about the city’s history with passes to the Chicago History Museum. Your new membership will allow you plenty of time to peruse the incredible artwork at the Museum of Contemporary Art. Afterwards, you can celebrate with a delicious dinner and a deluxe stay in a downtown hotel.

Curtains Up!: A season medley of Chicago theatre is the perfect package for any thespian and theatre-lover alike! Enjoy all that the rich Chicago theatre scene has to offer with tickets to theaters across the city, from small to large, including Otherworld, Raven, Jackalope, Chicago Shakespeare and more! Still haven’t gotten your theatre fix? Learn the tricks of the trade with dance lessons at Dance Center Evanston and shop for plays with a certificate to The Understudy, a brand new theatre-centric bookstore and coffee shop in Andersonville!

4TEA: Celebrate Lifeline’s For-tea-ith Anniversary with a tea party of your very own! Enjoy a tea party in honor of our 40th year for you and three guests. Gather with friends and loved ones in the backyard of Lifeline Ensemble Member and former Artistic Director  Dorothy Milne to drink to Lifeline’s 40 years with a delightful assortment of teas, hors d’oeuvres, and baked goods made by other members of the Lifeline ensemble! Hors d’oeuvres and tea will be provided by Get Ready for the big event with a visit to GingerSlam Nail Bar for garden party ready nails. Even after the party is over, you can enjoy your favorite teas later at home with your own special teaware!

Can’t make the event, but still want to throw your paddle up for one of this years auction package?

Let us put in a proxy bid for you on the big night! Contact Development Associate, Kwa Fangtang at kwa@lifelinetheatre.com to put in your top bids, and we’ll make sure your paddle is raised on Thursday, May 18!
