Benefits of Giving

“I support Lifeline because it is a wonderful award-winning theatre right in my neighborhood. I’ve enjoyed every production at Lifeline that I’ve attended and especially enjoy their children’s theatre – I often bring my grandchildren! We look forward to many more entertaining evenings in the future.”
Ruth Hoekwater, Owner, The Common Cup

Benefits of Donating to Lifeline Theatre!

Your charitable gift to Lifeline Theatre allows us to produce our “Big Stories, Up Close,” to make a difference at our local elementary schools, to expand our accessibility programming, and to deepen our impact in the community… but it can also reduce your annual income tax!

Please take the time to learn about the benefits of making a tax deductible donation and don’t hesitate to contact us with any questions.

As a qualified not-for-profit charitable organization, cash donations to Lifeline Theatre are tax deductible. There are no limits on charitable contributions for most taxpayers and most can deduct cash contributions in full up to 50% of their adjusted gross income.

To deduct a charitable contribution, you must file a Form 1040 and itemize deductions on a Schedule A form.

Gifts to Lifeline are considered paid when you put the check in the mail, or when it is charged to your credit card (not when you pay the credit card company). Make sure that your donation is made by December 31 so that it counts toward the year you plan to claim a deduction.

Corporate Partnership Benefits

We sold over 16,000 tickets last season — become a corporate partner and expose your brand to Lifeline’s growing patron base. The recognition and benefits we offer your business will strengthen your corporate image in the community, and provide you valuable access to our discerning audience. Lifeline Theatre is located in the heart of the Glenwood Avenue Arts District, a growing neighborhood ideal for businesses to entertain clients, employees, and friends at a performance or event. Join our corporate partners and you too can play a vital role in Chicago’s cultural community. As a sponsor of Lifeline Theatre, you are encouraging the development of new work and the continuation of arts education programs in our public schools.
