After much deliberation, Lifeline has decided to move all summer
camps online, and we’re very excited about it!
Though this means that summer camp will now happen right in your home, our instructors are preparing activities and games that will take your camper’s imagination to far away places. We are determined to bring all the fun – and as much social interaction as possible – to the virtual space, with lots of onscreen and off-screen projects. Camp will still focus on adaptation and performance, and our experienced instructors are already finding ways to explore the actors’ tools and create ensemble by embracing the digital platform.
- Lifeline camps will happen on Zoom, and be limited to 12 campers per class.
- To participate, campers will need access to a tablet or computer with a good Wifi connection.
- Each day will have dedicated time for warm ups, games, screen breaks, rehearsal, social interaction, and craft/tech time.
- Our Drama Stars and Theatre Intensive camps offer a flexible time frame: Campers can participate for 2, 3, or 3.5 hours each day.
- Each camp will be staffed by a veteran instructor, experienced college interns, and Education Director Julie Ganey.

Our 5-7 year olds (Drama Kids) can expect lots of movement, story, and imaginative play for their active hour of camp!
Drama Stars & Intensive (10:00am – 1:30pm) will follow this schedule:
10:00 – 10:50: Warmups and Theatre Games
10:50 – 11:00: Screen Break (Rest eyes, get water and snacks, and take a bathroom break!)
11:00 – 11:55: Drama Activities and Rehearsal
12:00 – 12:30: Campers who want to can eat lunch together with other campers and staff. This social time is optional, so campers that need more down time can opt out on any or all days.
12:30 – 12:40: Screen Break. Led by Lifeline staff, this will be a ten-minute guided meditation/rest period for refocusing and recharging.
12:40 – 1:30pm: Hands On Time. Campers will focus on creating costume pieces and exploring the environment of the play through sound and setting design. No special supplies needed – we’ll use recycled everyday objects found at home.
Every kid is different! So, if your camper has had enough online interaction by noon on any day, they are welcome to opt out from 12:00pm on.
